Often favored by blues players, fingerstyle pickers and folk artists, these guitars are noted for their easy playability and decisively full sound. To bring the same style, tone and quality to a smaller-bodied flat-top suited to the performance needs of players today, Gibson presents the L-00 Pro. Crafted in the acclaimed acoustic facility in Bozeman, Montana. Made from premium tonewoods, with period-correct appointments and styling, the L-00 Pro comes factory equipped with an L.R. Baggs pickup, so it's ready to go straight to the stage. A topflight instrument designed for the demanding professional, the L-00 looks great with its hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer, Antique Natural finish.Any great acoustic guitar starts with great tonewoods. The Gibson L-00 Pro is built with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. This pairing yields a marriage of sweetness and clarity from the spruce, with added depth and body from the mahogany. The top is supported with an X-brace formed in scalloped spruce braces and trimmed with a decorative multi-ply binding. Single-ply back binding, a single-ring soundhole rosette and a traditional L-00 tortoise pickguard complete the body. The one-piece mahogany neck is set with Gibson's trademark compound dovetail neck joint and hot hide glue adhesive. It is carved to a comfortable modified "V" profile, and topped with a rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays. The headstock carries a period-correct decal logo.To make the L-00 Pro stage-ready straight out of the case, Gibson loads it with an L.R. Baggs Element pickup positioned beneath the Tusq saddle of its traditional rectangular rosewood bridge.
